I recently bought the Too Faced HangoveRx Primer after so much hype all over my Instagram feed about it. I did a little research first, before buying, and it ticked all the boxes for the kind of primer I like. I saw the words hydrating, and knew it had to be mine!

I have been very loyal to a Laura Geller primer for quite a while now, so it had to take some sort of miracle to convince me to stop using that one, but I was really intrigued that the Too Faced primer included coconut oil, so gave it a whirl. I have not looked back since!

For someone with typically dry skin, the hydrating property of this moisturiser is absolutely perfect and applies onto the skin so smoothly. I am finding the primer so hydrating, brightening and reviving; making my skin look like I’ve had the best nights sleep ever!

The primer has a slight coconut scent, which I actually find really pleasant and refreshing to apply onto the skin in the morning. The formula is a creamy and smooth applying texture, which sinks into the skin fairly quickly, but leaving it hydrated and glowing; setting a soft and smooth base to apply foundation to. In terms of longevity of my makeup, I never really had a problem with my makeup not lasting well throughout the day, but have definitely found my skin still feels refreshed by the end of the day, rather than like I am ready to get that makeup off!

What other hydrating primers do you guys love?

My skin has some super dry patches at the mo and I haven’t been able to cover them at all 🙁 but seeing as I LOVE coconut, I’m definitely going to try this primer out and see if it works for me! 🙂
