I have wanted to try Beauty Pie for what seems like forever and a day, and finally took the leap with a first small order around one month ago now after reading the website back to front and inside out to get a grips on their membership. You pay a small fee each month in return for being able to buy luxury skincare, hair care, makeup and other beauty products straight from the supplier and without the price tag.
My friend Beth explains this very well in her blog post! As a member prices are lower than if not, so I opted for the £10 per month membership which allows me £100 spend a month on the website. £5 membership gets you £50 allowance and £20 membership £200 allowance, with other options like annual memberships available. Deducting from your allowance is calculated by using the original cost of the product, not the member price you pay, but it means you get a lot of product for a lot less spending! For example: the Jeju Hyaluronic Acid Mist typical price is £30, but as a member you pay £10.61. The typical price of £30 is deducted from your spending allowance, however you do only pay £10.61. And if you don’t use your full allowance each month, it simply rolls over to the next. So you could skip 2 months of not ordering anything and by the third month have £300 allowance to spend and do a nice big haul!
At the time of my first purchase, I was still pretty stocked up on cleansers and moisturisers, so I decided to opt for the add on kind of skincare instead of the essentials. Although I am pretty certain in saying this extras have fast become essentials in my routine now!
A best seller, and for good reason! With 9.2% glycolic acid, this toner exfoliates dead cells and reveals smoother brighter skin the next day. You can use this up to three times a week for normal/dry skin and daily on oily/acne prone skin. Remember to use an SPF! I have used this around 3 times a week as I have drier skin and after every use my skin is SO smooth, much brighter and the drier areas such as the side of my forehead near the end of my eyebrows are no more, it really does get rid of dulling skin cells. This is definitely replacing a more expensive glycolic acid I had previously bought.
When first looking into Beauty Pie, the superactive capsule range is what really intrigued me. I have used sample capsules from other brands before and really loved them and seen huge results, but with huge results came a huge price tag. Ceramides are a family of lipid molecules and in skincare it helps to form a protective layer which limits moisture loss, aids hydration and minimises ageing.
You can use these every night for best results, but I have been using them around 3 times a week and still noticed a change! At 24 I am not really concerned about ageing just yet, but I want to do everything I can to prevent as many signs in the future. And I have always struggled with dehydrated/dry skin which is notttt good, this has totally changed that for me and I can certainly tell that my skin is holding moisture in more effectively, my skin feels so much plumper and looks brighter – even my fiancé has said recently how good my skin looks and I put it down mainly to these guys! Will absolutely absolutely be purchasing these again.
This is one of those ‘instagram made me do it’ products. I had seen so much about this range from so many people I follow, and I was especially interested in this mask. At £11.92 with a typical price of £100 it is a huge saving. With vitamin C, Grape Extract and Yuzu Ceramide this mask is a 10 minute hydrating, smoothing and plumping treatment and it definitely does what it says on the tin.
I have used this around once a week and it certainly leaves my skin silky smooth after using, but I am not as wowed by it as the other products I bought. I thought this would be my favourite product out of the three, but I think the huge cut in spend allowance sits at the back of my mind with this one. I would buy again because it genuinely is a good product, but when I know I don’t need anything else/want to try anything else so as not to use my allowance up!
SO many good reviews on this, and at £11.96 this seems like a great everyday moisturiser to have in my skincare stash.
As a lover of hyaluronic acid, this features three weights of it. Need I say any more.
I always opt for sulphate free body wash, due to sensitive skin. This is £8.35 for 400ml which compared to other body washes is amazingly priced. And featuring Aloe Vera, Geranium and Tonka Bean oils I think this will be super hydrating leaving my skin silky soft!
Would love to know your thoughts on Beauty Pie and what you have trialled if anything. Let me know what you’ve loved and what I must try, I think this site is an absolute game changer for me!
