As we are now in Mid-October, the countdown to Halloween has begun. I have never really been into Halloween, and never once went trick or treating when I was little, but after seeing lots of people posting Halloween looks on Instagram, I really wanted to get involved just for the makeup!
I had no idea what I wanted to do exactly, but wanted a bit of fake blood and bruising in there, so just sat down and see what I could come up with. And I was quite pleased with the outcome!
I started off by using my favourite Nars Sheer Glow foundation in Mont Blanc, for the base of the look. I then went straight in with a mix of Morphe 35P and 35O palettes, for both the eyes and bruising on the face. I mainly used the black and browns in the palettes, to give it a rusty/dirty kind of look too.
I used Soap and Glory’s Supercat liner to create a sharp wing on the eye, MAC’s Extended Play Mascara as well as MAC Viva Glam 3 on the lips, which is the perfect vampy colour. Finally, it was time to apply the fake blood. I used a gel formula by Snazaroo for this, and applied it with cotton buds and pads.
What Halloween looks have you been going for this year?
Lots of love,
